  • Whether you are among the majority of women who will experience hot flashes in the context of natural perimenopause or menopause, following surgery, chemotherapy or hormone therapy following breast cancer treatment there are evidence-based hormonal, non-hormonal, prescription, natural and non -pharmacologic options to consider - let’s talk about it.

  • The first-line treatment for chronic insomnia is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) - yet most patients with insomnia get offered medications first and never learn how to interrupt the conditions that perpetuate their continued disaffection with sleep. We will do a full sleep assessment, review all the mechanisms that may contribute to poor sleep and offer the full range of treatments and supportive options to get you to sleep soundly again. Using CBT-I, mindfulness, natural products in addition to ruling out contributing medical conditions. I'm qualified to teach Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction and have extensive experience in clinical applications of mindfulness-based practices. I'm also trained in clinical Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia.

I've had the honor of being a faculty member at the Integrative Medicine Service of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for 8 enriching years, where I also served as the director of Mind-Body Medicine. With 15 years of experience as a double board-certified Internist, I've had the privilege of making meaningful impact in the lives of my patients.

I'm fellowship-trained in Integrative Medicine and currently contribute to the curriculum of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. Additionally, I've received further training or certification from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine and the Menopause Society.
